Sara Nell Davis (86) died April 30, 2016 peacefully surrounded by her family at Hospice Savannah, Inc. She was born January 30, 1930 in Swainsboro, Georgia. She moved to Savannah 1948, where she raised her family. She was an amazing homemaker, doting grandmother, and great grandmother. She always had a smile on her face and was always kind to everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Walter White and Bernice Tyson White, brother, John Wayne White, infant brother, Billy White, husband, William White Davis and son, Larry Steven Davis.
Surviving are her sons and daughters: William Thomas Davis (Jill) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Robert White Davis (Jan) of Savannah, Georgia; Martha Davis Cetti (Joe) of Savannah, Georgia; and Susan Davis Hodges (Gary) of Rincon, Georgia; sisters, Lynette Donnelly, Marthajean Hollis, grandchildren, William Vernon Davis (Geri), Kimberly Davis Arrington (Jasin), Robert White Davis Jr., William Brian Davis (Theresa), Heather Cetti Aeger (Brian), Joseph Alfred Cetti Jr. (Ashley), Shannon Hodges Wingo (Rodney), Gary W. Hodges (Jessica), Stephanie Davis, Sara Davis, and Larry S. Davis Jr., 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Hillcrest Abbey West.
The family suggests any remembrances be made in her memory to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, Georgia 31416.
