Celebrating the life of
Jean Walker
December 19, 1942 - May 23, 2016
Entrepreneur and Business Woman
Born on December 19, 1942 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to Heyward and Florrie Bishop, Jean Walker lived a full and adventurous life. Jean was able to travel the World. She saw Paris and Munich, Florence and Pisa. She saw A. J. Foyt win the Indianapolis 500 and Seattle Slew win the Kentucky Derby.
As an entrepreneur and business woman, Jean was able to help many people enjoy the benefits of home ownership in her over 30 years of Real Estate. As a teacher, she was a guide and mentor to many of Savannah’s Realtors.
Jean was Mom to Jim Walker (Christine), Kim Williamson (Kirby), and Josh Walker (Leslie). She was predeceased by her Mother, Father and Step-Mother, her brothers Mel and Jimmy, and her sisters Ruth and Barbara. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Wynette, and many nephews and nieces.
Her favorite mission in life was being Grandmother to Alex (Courtney), Cayla (Corey), Garret, Danielle, Samantha, James, Daniel, Livy, Meadow and Hunter. They were her sunshine during the sunset of her life.
Finally and most importantly, Jean was a child of God. On Monday, May 23, 2016, her spirit left her earthly body to go and be with God after living a life well lived.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Josh, Kim and Jim, There are no words that can adequately express my condolences. Your Mother was an amazing woman and forever will be! She touched the lives of everyone she encountered and will continue to do so from Heaven. She was a kind and caring woman that welcomed all into her home. She had an astounding way of ensuring that you felt like part of the family because she truly thought of you in that way. I considered her as a second Mother and I am confident that I’m not alone in that sentiment. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved and she loved many. Although my words cannot ease your loss, I hope you realize that her strength, compassion and wisdom remain in all those that were influenced by her.
