Lynette Thompson Tuttle, age 94, died June 15, 2016 at Summer Breeze under the care of Hospice. She was the wife of Joseph B. Tuttle, and the daughter of the late Olene and Henry Oliver Thompson, Sr. She lived in Chatham County most of her life. She was a 1939 graduate of Savannah High School and she attended Armstrong Junior College. She had served as a Girl Scout leader and was active in the Wilmington Island Garden Club.

She was a charter member of Chapel-in-the-Gardens where she taught Sunday School for many years. Most recently, she was a member of Grace Church Of The Islands.

She out-lived her sister Joyce Wadley, and two brothers, Oliver Thompson Jr. and Roscoe Thompson. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, her body has been donated to the Medical College of Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Friday, June 17 at Grace Church Of The Islands. The family will receive visitors in the narthex of the church one hour prior to the memorial celebration. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Salvation Army, or either of the above churches.
