My condolences to the Powers Family on the passing of your loved one. May Jehovah God grant you his peace while you await the fulfillment of his promise at John 5:28 [ to resurrect those who have been asleep in death] May fond memories of Fran linger in your hearts and bring you peace in the days to come.

When I first went to Southside, Fran greeted me, called me "sugar", and invited me to sit with her family. I will never forget the outpouring of love that she and Ward gave to me that day and many years to follow. I have come to know and love most of Fran's family since that day. Fran was a "true Blessing" from God above to everyone. May God richly comfort and bless each of you today and in the coming days.
- Terry Robertson, Savannah, Ga.
Mrs. Fran was a matriarch of our church. She was one of a kind. She treated me as a daughter. As a young married woman many years ago, Mrs. Fran and Mr. Ward welcomed us into their home many times to fellowship and share a meal. I remember cracking blue crabs together around the kitchen table. Good times. Mrs. Fran was the finest christian example for me. I God's peace and comfort for her family and friends..

What a Beautiful woman, Mrs. Powers was. I am very sorry to read of your loss. With all her love and joys, I know she was an amazing woman. I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is John 11:25, which says, " Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved wife, mother, grandma and friend. Sincerely, Meryl
