Celebrating the life of
Anthony Bertran
February 02, 1954 - August 05, 2016
SAVANNAH - Anthony Bertran, age 62, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, at his home on Skidaway Island. Tony was born on February 2, 1954. He met and fell in love with Marsha Ware in Tampa, Florida. After a mutual relocation, they married and settled in Mansfield, Texas on September 4, 1982. Tony and Marsha had one daughter, Stephanie, born in 1985. The family returned to Florida in 1988 and remained there until 2004, when Tony and Marsha joined Tony’s family in Savannah, Georgia. Tony began P&R General Contractors and served the Landings community on Skidaway Island until his dying day. Tony was a fiercely devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He did everything with deep passion and full commitment. He loved his family, his friends, his work, and his favorite hobbies – golf and boating.
After losing his wife Marsha in January 2016 Tony was blessed to find a new love in his life, Kris Labartino. Tony and Kris met several months ago and found an amazing love and friendship. They were so happy together and planned to be married just a few weeks from now. Kris, her son Bobby and their family embraced Tony and made his life fulfilled. Tony was overjoyed by such a wonderful new family.
Memorial Services are scheduled at St. James Catholic Church at the corner of Montgomery Crossroad and Whitfield Ave. in Savannah on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a reception at the church following the service to greet the family.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Raul, Sr., his brother, Raul, Jr., and his wife, Marsha. He is survived by his fiancée, Kristine Labartino, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Brent Stevens, one grandson, Isaac Stevens, his mother, Armonia “Beba” Hall and sister / brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jorge Gojman.

Dear Beba, dear Mary Ann, dear Jorge and dear all relatives, there is no word in the world which can express how big must be your saidness to say good bye to Tony. I ask me: Is there one or more persons in heaven, who want Tony cloth? When we are one day in heaven, we will get an answer. Hopefully! Beba when a mother lost a child tat is unbeliviable. I hope you will find with Mary Ann, your granddaughter and Jorge a way to accept the stroke. If not, we all will unterstand. Mary Ann if you lost a mother or a father, you lost the pass. If you lost a child, you lost the future. When you lost a sibling - you lost both. My tears, my heart and my feelings are with you Margitta I am with you full of saidness and the message from the death of Tony it makes my heart very heavy.
