Betty Sue Jackson Taylor, “MeeMaw”, 82 died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her two loving daughters. She was born in Lafayette, Georgia and moved to Brunswick where she graduated from Glynn Academy in 1952. After moving to Savannah, she retired from Union Camp Corporation after thirty-seven years of service. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and cherished her Sunday School friends. Her world revolved around her four gorgeous granddaughters who loved her immensely. Her son, Raymond Taylor, Jr. “Bunn” preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughters, Twila Strode (Greg), Tonya Mounkes (Richard); granddaughters, Lauren Prather (Eric), Morgan Strode, Megan McCurry (Garret), Logan Mounkes and great-grandson, Isaac Prather.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
