Celebrating the life of
Donald Bath "Donnie" Rader
December 13, 1958 - August 16, 2016
Savannah - Donald Bath Rader (57) passed away Tuesday in the Hospice House of Savannah. Donnie battled ALS for many years. Throughout his struggle he inspired others as he exemplified amazing faith in God. Donnie was truly at peace as he travel the path of challenges he faced.
Donnie was passionate about many things. He was an athlete all his life and excelled in all he did. His greatest pride was in his family; especially his children. ALS took away many things but his faith in God, his healing and his hope in the resurrection never wavered. In the end I guess you can say Donnie won.
Surviving Donnie, his wife Christa, son Cole, daughter and son-in-law Blake and Billy Campbell; his siblings and their spouses: Ronnie & Meghan Rader; Vicki & Davis Rogers, and B.H. & Pat Rader. Donnie had many nieces and nephews all of whom he loved very much.
The service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Savannah at the Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church. The address is 450 North Cromwell Rd.
Visitation with the family will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation to "The Don Rader Foundation" be considered. Donnie was best known for his desire to help those in need. This foundation was established a few years ago and will continue as his legacy lives on. This foundation will provide assistance for patients dealing with this monstrous disease.
The Don Rader Foundation address is P.O. Box 30249 Savannah, GA 31410.
Know that we love and appreciate everything you've all done to lift us up these many years.
May the God of all comfort be with you and your famIly during this difficult time (2Cor1:3,4)
