Jarrod Steven Lee

Passed away on September 27, 2019

Jarrod Steven Lee

Jarrod Lee

Jarrod Steven Lee, 36 years old, died at home in Summerville, SC. He was born October 19, 1982 in Savannah, GA where he lived most of his life before moving to Summerville.

Jarrod attended Windsor Forest High School and Savannah Technical College. He held a number of different positions throughout his working life with his most recent one being at the Carolina Ale House in Summerville.

Jarrod loved all things artistic. He routinely expressed himself in this area. His friends and family would often comment about his dirty hands which were regularly seen with lead, ink, or paint on them. Jarrod loved Mexican food, sweets, and Starbucks coffee and loved to cook everywhere he went. He loved his animals and was extremely close to his dogs and cats, Luna, Freya, Biff, and Gizmo.

Jarrod’s love of his family and friends was always on display. Jarrod loved and honored his mother. His loyalty to her was unwavering. He never let her go through any holiday season alone. He really enjoyed those times when she made him turkey, dressing, and broccoli casserole.

Jarrod deeply loved his late father, Allen. He especially enjoyed those early Saturday mornings where they would find themselves at the oceanfront testing their fishing skills. He loved his brother David and was very proud of him. He loved his niece and nephews, David, Elizabeth, and Jace.

Jarrod loved his friends and co-workers at the Carolina Ale House. This was a very special to him as this is where he met and fell in love with his girlfriend, Adriana.

No story of Jarrod’s life would be complete without mentioning those childhood days with friends from the Mill Drive neighborhood. Whether it was playing stick ball in the street, exploring the area, or even causing a little bit of mischief, good times were had by all and Jarrod loved every minute of it.

Jarrod’s family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm on October 1, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, located at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

Jarrod’s funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on October 1, 2019 at the Greenwich Cemetery located at 330 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.

GUEST BOOK

We watched David and Jarrod grow up on Mill Drive. They were always playing in the streets, or at each other's houses and had a great time. Jarrod was younger than the others, but fit right in with Jonathan, Robbie, Thomas, Jeremy, the Griffin boys as well as others. Those were good days watching all the kids grow up. Jarrod will be missed.

Jarrod you will be greatly missed. I knew you as one of the most gentle energies ever. Your artistic abilities were such a gift to all of those who were able to see them. But what I will Honor you the most for, is the purest love you were able to show to Adriana. You came into her life when she needed you most. And you poured your heart and love into her daily. I will always continue to pray for her and your family. And I will be forever grateful to have had many of spontaneous heartfelt conversations while at work. I know God has purpose for your departure from this world. And I know you will continue to walk along side Adriana to show her what true love continues to look like. God speed and rest easy ???

Babe. I can feel you here right now with me and I know that you are looking down on me and Freya. I love you with every ounce of my being. You are my best friend, my rock, my soulmate. I waited 36 years to find you. You showed me what true love really really feels like. I don’t know how I’m going to do this alone, but I will be strong for you. I will be ok. I miss you so incredibly much. You are truly my best friend

My heart goes out to Jarrod’s family and friends from Savannah, GA all the way to Summerville, SC. Knowing Jarrod for the last two years has taught me many things. From the way a dryer connects and works to the extensive beer knowledge he so proudly shared. We love you Groot.

I’m so sorry to hear this news. I know that our loving God will strengthen you all during this time. May you experience the truth found at Philippians 4:7 , “And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.”

I can not begin to express the immense loss and hole we will have in our team. Our team is our work family and Jarrod was a huge part in this. He was a trainer, not only a leader, but an emotional leader, he was comic relief, he was knowledge. He was a huge part of our heart. I am thankful to have known him and I will carry him in my heart forever. God speed my gentle Giant, my J-Rod. Thank you for being you ??
