I met Margie later in her life. She had adopted a precious dog who had a difficult early life, she brought happiness to this sweet pup. Margie entrusted his life to me and for that I am grateful. Sleep well, Margie, Atlas is safe and loved. Sincerely, Anne

The Ultimate Single Mom. I fortunately met Margie in 1975 when I was 10 years old and her daughter ,Missy, and I became like sisters. Marge was the first single parent I'd ever met and I immediately thought she looked EXACTLY like Doris Day. Not only did Marge look like a leading lady in my eyes, but she was also the catalyst for a change in my life that would have never happened without her opening her home to me for months at a time. Marge wasn't divorced, she was a widow, and maybe that is what made her the most extraordinary "mom". She was the total parent package all by herself. In a time when women weren't really entrepreneurs, Marge ruled!!! I absolutely loved traveling with Marge and Missy, near or far. Marge introduced me to awesome food at age 10!!!! (been a food snob ever since), fine hotels, extraordinary people, interior design, culture, class, racial tolerance, love for animals, oh, and Wimbledon. I really loved this amazing woman. She could read a novel cover to cover in 8 hours! Oh my , and she made some bread that I wish I could duplicate(herbs &spices). She always had a knack for doing "IT" well, whatever it was. A few months ago Marge and I started reminiscing about the GREAT times we had together. She told me that she would give anything to board the Sid and Marty Croft giant pin ball machine ride one more time at the Omni in Atlanta with me and Missy. We talked about that, and Ms.Smoot at the Marriot...and she laughed her low giggle laugh....hoo hoo hoo hoo. I'm going to miss this fine lady. I'm missing her now.
