Celebrating the life of
Kevin Reid
December 07, 1961 - September 21, 2016
We were walking down Broughton.Street during our three month road trip of the East coast of the US in August when seddenly we saw Kevin's gallery. We could not believe it so we crossed the road and went inside. Kevin recognised the accents and all of a sudden we were talking like old friends about Alice Springs and Australia in general. We left, after about half an hour and wished him well. We are bewildered, sad and angry about this tragic waste of a life. Our condolences to his wife and family on their loss. RiP Mate. I can't adequately express how saddened Jeanne and I are at the tragic loss of Kevin Reid, a vibrant, friendly, gregarious man - a "mate" in the truest sense of the word. We'd only known Kevin and Kari a short time - and when we recently returned from five weeks away and I was ready to head to the gallery to tell Kevin we were back, he was brutally taken away. Even at this early stage of our friendship, we could tell Kari & Kevin had each found "the one" - and it saddens me even more to write this on their one-year anniversary. Stay strong, Kari.

The world is far less of a place for the passing of my BEST MATE! Kev, words can't explain the grief and sorrow and loss, I am feeling at your passing. You are without a doubt the kindest, genuine, humorous person I ever knew. I am honoured and humbled to call you a friend and my best mate. Your honesty and integrity was unquestionable, you had courage of your convictions, and your drive and tenacity was perpetual and infectious. Karrie , I can't even imagine your grief and pain, but I a m so saddened, as Kev always said he just wanted to find the right lady for Kev,and when he told me of you, knew that he finally had. So sorry that your time together was cut short.to all of Kevs family, my condolences and sympathy to you also.Kev, my best mate, a true and loyal friend, my confidant, my hero. I will surely miss you. Rest in peace, MATE.
