SAVANNAH, GA   Judy Shoup Anderson age 93 died Friday, September 23, 2016, at NHC Health Care Bluffton, SC after a 10-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by her family whom she adored.  Judy was born June 26, 1923, in Morganton, North Carolina to James William and Lillian Gertrude Shoup. She lived most of her life in North Carolina, before moving to Bluffton, South Carolina to be near her son Ron, and his family Ken, Kevin, Jamie, and Amy. Judy lived her life with a wonderful, positive outlook on all things she encountered. She especially appreciated nature, always commenting on its ever changing beauty; from the first flowers of spring to the beautiful architecture of the bare trees of winter. She loved to tend her garden and play golf.  Reading, with her cat "Sam” by her side, was one of her fondest indoor pleasures.

Judy was preceded in death by her Parents James William Shoup and Lillian Gertrude Shoup-Buhl, her sister Thelma Bihari, brother Steven Shoup (Alice) brother Ernest Shoup (Dorothy), her son-in-law Wayne Simpson Reid, and her husband, William Edward Anderson.

She is survived by sisters Eva Ruth King (Lee), and Catherine Faye Townes (Ben). children, David Eugene Bollinger (Bea) of Morganton, NC, daughters Laura Ann Reid of Joelton TN, Nancy Duckworth of Glen Alpine, NC, and son Ronald Edward Anderson (Ken) of Savannah, GA. Also, by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at The Collegiate Church of Saint Paul the Apostle (Episcopal) at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016. The Very Reverend William Willoughby III, Dean & Rector officiating. Interment will be in the Church Garden at a later date.
