Garden City - Ruby (Evelyn) Fennell Lamkin Wilson passed away at her home on Saturday, October 8, 2016, surrounded by her daughters. She was born in Colleton County, South Carolina, on July 5, 1930. She was a member of the Port Wentworth Alliance Church.
She was predeceased by her husbands Robert Miles Lamkin in 1968 and Altrick Loyd Wilson in 2004. She took great pride in being a homemaker and was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family, especially during the holiday seasons.
She is survived by her daughters, Evonne Mobley, Libby Dendy (Mike), Debbie Kuharik, and Tina Williams (Garnett), her grandchildren, Jason Kuharik (Amy), Adam Kuharik (Karrie), Kara Mobley, Brandon Woodruff (Meagan), Cody Woodruff, and her great-grandchildren, Colby and Connor Kuharik, Kaeden and Kensley Kuharik, Maura Woodruff and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.

I am really saddened to learn of Mrs. Evelyn's passing. She was such a sweet and down to earth person. I knew her through Debbie, we were co-workers at Macy*s. It was always a very special treat whenever she came to visit Debbie at the store. I was always sure to get my special time in with her during her visit. To the Family...Remember her loving and tender ways. These are the things that will get you through this. These are also the things that will carry you throughout life! GOD Bless You All...Jean
