Larry Carl Brewer
May 20, 1938 - October 20, 2016
Larry Carl Brewer, age 78, passed away at Glynnview nursing home on October 20th, 2016 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
A native of Savannah, he was born on May 20th, 1938. Son of the late Elmer George Brewer and Edith Kate Long Carpenter, he graduated from Savannah High school in 1956 and Armstrong State College, 1992, with a Bachelor in Science.
Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Rebecca Brewer; three children, David Brewer (Martha) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Doug Brewer (Becky) of Monroe, GA, and Cheryl Watson (Vince) of Brunswick, GA; five Grandchildren; 2 LT Matthew Boyd Brewer of Okinawa, Japan; Luke and Jenna Watson of Brunswick, GA; and Alex and David Peters of Monroe, GA; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in memory of Larry C. Brewer of Savannah, Ga to Savannah Alzheimer’s Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
