Carolyn Louise Highsmith

Carolyn Louise Cobb Highsmith, 73, died with her son and daughter-in-law by her side on October 24, 2016 at Augusta University Hospital after a massive stroke.

The native and lifelong resident of Savannah graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School and was retired from the purchasing department at Union Camp/International Paper. Carolyn was a Deacon and active member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church, where she was actively involved in the Women’s Circle. She was a member of Elk’s Lodge #188, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary, with her dear friend, Carol Haymore.

Carolyn always enjoyed her Bridge Club, her line-dancing group, and being involved in several other activities at Windsor Forest Golden Age Center with her friend, Louise Richards by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Highsmith; her mother and stepfather, Louise and Charles Warner; her father and stepmother, Wesley and Sheila Cobb; and her furry companion, Vegas.

Carolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Jennifer Highsmith; her grandsons, Bradley, Kaleb, and Tyler; her brother and sister-in-law, Wesley Cobb, Jr. and Susie Cobb; and her nephew and his wife, Chris and Kristy Cobb.

Remembrances may be made to White Bluff Presbyterian Church, 10710 White Bluff Road, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
