Family and Friends to Celebrate Life of Chris Mooney on November 12

The family and friends of Christopher Alan Mooney, who died tragically in 2011, will gather on November 12 to celebrate his life.

Throughout his 52 years, Chris was a larger-than-life presence at family gatherings and get-togethers with friends, and in his business relationships. He approached every event with great enthusiasm, showing genuine interest in each person he saw. An afternoon with Chris was guaranteed to be filled with laughter, lightheartedness and most importantly—love. His passion for life and for those who shared it with him was contagious--and his presence continues to be missed by all.

The Mooney family has chosen this occasion to celebrate Chris's life as he would have wanted it: with laughter, not sadness—and with stories, not sermons. In keeping with the family’s wishes, friends are invited to bring and share a story about Chris, in lieu of flowers.

A visitation is planned from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 with the service following immediately in the chapel at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah. Yellow, the color of hope and one of Chris' favorites, will be worn by the Mooney family. Friends are encouraged to do the same in Chris' memory.

GUEST BOOK

I know that mere words are not enough to express the loss you must feel for the sudden passing of someone who was so full of life and not afraid to show it. Your deep felt loss and love is evident through the Memorial Service held in his honor. May you continue to find comfort in the hope that you may see him again one glorious day. I know that we all look forward to the time when the last enemy, death, is brought to nothing as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:26.

Chris has always been a light during tough times for me. I am so thankful that he shared some time helping me. Most of all his smile remains a light for me, only it shines brighter. I hope to be there on the 12th. If I can't make it please know that I am so glad that the service is being held. My Prayers for Peace & Healing remain with you~ Sincerely, Michael
