Robert Lee Elkins (Ret. SMSgt)

1930 – 2016

Robert Lee Elkins, age 86, of Valparaiso, FL passed away on November 29, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born in Savannah, GA to the late Alfred Lee Elkins and Inez Davis Elkins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty E. Stanford.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Joan D. Elkins; daughter, Angela R. Jones; and a brother-in-law, W. Otis Stanford.

Robert was in the US Air Force for 26 years serving in Vietnam, Alaska, England and Korea, retiring as a SMSgt. He was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Niceville, FL.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
