Celebrating the life of

James Jernigan Crumbley, III

Passed away on October 15, 2019

James Jernigan Crumbley, III

James (Jim) J. Crumbley, III died October 15, 2019 at his home. He was born October 16, 1964 in Albany, Georgia, son of the late Dr. Ben Hill Crumbley, DDS and Patricia D. Henline.

Jim loved God first. He prayed for his children's safety every night and for the blessings he had been given in his life. Family came next, he adored his children and he lived for them. Third was a very close tie between the Georgia Bulldogs, fishing and golfing. He carried a pole in all of his vehicles and if he saw a body of water he would pull over and throw in a line. He played golf every Wednesday, weather permitting and if there was a Georgia game that weekend he was either at the game that weekend or at his mom's watching and cheering. He was a loving, giving father and son, never met a stranger and loved by all that were fortunate enough to meet him. One of a kind that will be sorely missed.

Surviving are his son Ben Crumbley, daughter Catherine Crumbley, Mom Patricia Henline, Step-Father Jud Henline, brother Byron Braddy, sister-in-law Kathy Braddy, favorite niece LeAnn Fernandez, (Jared} fiance, Lydia Lee.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31405.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The graveside service will be private.

Jimbo was a very special friend of mine .our friendship goes back to early high school days . we lived life in the fast lane on Wilimingtin Island along with our other buddies. Jim and I worked together at Great Dane Trailers , Halls Truck Epuipment, and Eastern Flatbed Systems. There are so many great memories. As we all know life goes by us really fast and as we have kids of our own they become the place that we spend most of our time. I'm heartbroken today because Jim and I talked on the phone about a month ago about getting together and playing golf to catch up on old times . please if you are reading this take time to be with friends life is not all about work. I send my condolences to all his family and are praying for your comfort in time of your loss. Michael Wolfe

My Uncle Jim was a light in any dark path he came upon. He never met a stranger and was an instant friend with anyone he met. He accepted me for who I am, day one, and his love for me never wavered. I’ll never forget, my tire busted and went flat one evening. Uncle Jim and Aunt Lydia came through, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, and Jim helped me change that tire and taught me what to do if the situation were to arise again and he wasn’t around. He didn’t have to do that. I wasn’t his blood. But he made it a point to make me feel like I was family. There was so much love in that man. And I loved him all the same. He was truly one of a kind. I could never ever forget him and there will never be another that could fill his void in my life. I’m better for knowing him. Rest In Peace, Papa.

Jim was the love of my cousin Lydia's life, but treated me like his cousin/ family. I so valued that he and I could have very different political views, but still talk about it and learn from each other. That's the kind of person Jim was - he just lived people. I'm sending live and light to the family, and especially my precious cousin, Lydia. Jim,"you are loved".

- Lisa Lee, Centennial, CO

My family and I will surely miss Jim. We’ve been friends before we got our drivers license. We have had some really crazy times together throughout the years. I guess one of my favorite memories was when we decided to pack our bags and go to Daytona for spring break in 1984 with two other buddies. We had a blast ! For some reason he gave me the nickname breezy and it’s stuck. His nickname was torch but that’s another storry along with countless others. See you on the other side buddy. Love Breezy
