Margaret Boatright Cobb died Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the age of 86, at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain.
Margaret Cobb was born on August 30, 1929 in Emanuel County, and lived in Savannah from 1945 to 2016. She attended Savannah High School and was the long-time owner and operator of Fernwood Beauty Shop for 31 years. She was a member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church for 63 years. She was a member of Alee Shrine Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sidney Cobb, parents Mordecai and Emma Lee Boatright, sister Eleanor Boatright Robinson, sister Grace Boatright Bragg, and bother William H. Boatright.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law Michael D. Adams and Jennie I. Adams of Marietta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Schwartz of Woodstock, Georgia; three great-grandchildren Dylan Thomas, Lillian Elise, and Eva Margaret Schwartz of Woodstock, Georgia; and one brother Robert Boatright of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Faith Primitive Baptist Church with the Funeral starting at 11:00 AM, with Elder David Summerford officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Lunch will be served at Grace Primitive Baptist Church, 6001 Waters Avenue after interment.
Active Pallbearers are James Cobb, David Bragg, Greg Bragg, Thomas Inglesby, Robbie Robinson and John Williams.
Memorials should be sent in lieu of flowers to: Faith Primitive Baptist Church, 3212 Bee Road, Savannah, Georgia.
