I am sorry for your loss. Though some time ago, I worked with Mr. Charles. Its never good hearing of someone falling asleep in death. However, Jehovah is a God of comfort and were able to be encouraged through his word the Bible. Isaiah 25:8 is a favorite of mine because Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. May positive memories fill your hearts and minds through this difficult time.

I'm a friend from Colonial High School. I hadn't seen Charlie in a long time but we stayed in touch on Facebook. Nothing but fond memories of a really good guy. So sorry for your loss.

Our condolences to the Barthel family. We've known Charlie since the early '90s through darts when we all lived in Orlando and eventually played for my parents at Hoops Tavern. He was always the life of the party and kept everyone laughing. RIP Charlie. You will be missed.

My sincerest condolences go out to your family, it's never easy losing someone in death. May you take comfort in God's promise found at Revelation 21:4, which says "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This verse brought me peace when I experienced loss, I hope it can do the same for you. May the memories you have give you strength during this difficult time.

I am so sorry about the loss of your dear love. We all know that the sting of death is very painful, however, Almighty God promise that soon death will be swallowed up forever along with the pain and sorrow it brings. ( Isaiah 25: 8) As for the many that have fallen asleep in death, he promise that they will be ressurrected to life, here on earth. ( John 5: 28,29; Psalms 37: 29) May this hope along with the wonderful memories you have of Charles helps you to cope.

- L. Robinson , Columbia , SC

So sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and the family
