James Edward "Pete" Soles
Passed away on June 18, 2017
James "Pete" Edward Soles, 79, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at home in Savannah, GA. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hazel Norris Soles, 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
James was born in Andalusia, AL on February 10, 1938, to Annie Lee and Lemuel Zollie Soles. He has called Savannah home for the past 33 years. His greatest joys were his family and fishing. His quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor will be greatly missed.
James is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bobby Soles, and sister Patricia Zander.
Survivors include his sister Barbara Stacks of Andalusia, AL, his children Eddie Soles and his wife Denise of Austin, TX, Terry Soles and wife Carrie of Loganville, GA, Tracy Soles and wife Laura of Guyton, GA and Tina Moore and husband Joe of Savannah, GA. His grandchildren include Eric, Bryce, Rachel, David, Reid, Megan, Tyler, Lorraine, Jacquelyn, Erin, and Kristin and great-grandchildren Ruka and Colten.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research or Hospice Savannah.
