Olivia Marie Kent Pagan

Oliva Marie Kent Pagan, 97, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Memorial University Medical Center.  The native and lifelong resident of Savannah/Tybee Island was born in the Old Fort Section, daughter of Joseph and Lillian Hernandez Kent.

Mrs. Pagan was a homemaker and of the Catholic and Episcopal faiths.  As the matriarch of the family, Mrs. Pagan was the glue that held the family together.  She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Mrs. Pagan was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Pagan, Jr. and son, Ralph Pagan, III.

Surviving are her children, Tony Pagan (Debbie) of Tybee Island; Linda Ayala (Danny) of Tybee Island; Jimmy Pagan of Eugene, OR; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Interment will follow in Catholic Cemetery.

We became friends and talked on the phone often except when the braves were playing. I remember Liv,Mable and June and alot of the nieces playing cards at Mrs.Grooms (Mable) or Junes.I was a young teenager but i remember all of the laughter and good times they all had. I know there is alot of celebrating in Heaven going on with these ladies.

I was so very blessed to have known this sweet soul at a young age. I used to love coming to tybee with my daddy(Buddy Saunders) as a little girl. I'll always cherish the fresh tomato sandwiches that Aunt Liv always made me!! Tony Pagan.. please know that I'm praying for you and your sweet family tonight.. I know Aunt Liv is rejoicing with Jesus and I also know that my daddy and my sweet sister(Michelle Saunders Bullard) are rejoicing as well!!!
