Charles Ray Parker, Sr.

Charles Ray Parker, Sr., 91, died Sunday, October 15, 2017.
Mr. Parker was a native of Savannah. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Missouri. He later retired from Southern Bell after 36 years of service. Mr. Parker was a member of many civic organizations including the Freemasons, Alee Temple and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Robert and Hugh; his sister, Margie Parker Johannsen and his daughter, Patricia Lynn Parker.
Surviving are his children, Joan Clair Parker, Donna Parker Fisher, Charles Parker, Jr. and numerous grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Remembrances may be made to the Alee Temple, 100 Eisenberg Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.
