Timothy Daniel Parker
April 28, 1968 – October 25, 2026

Timothy "Tim" Daniel Parker, 58, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, under hospice care in Savannah, GA.

Tim was born on April 28, 1968, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Gerald and Linda Parker. He earned his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and went on to earn a Master of Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent most of his career working with academic research databases at institutions including Carnegie Mellon University, the Medical College of Georgia, and the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Those who knew Tim will remember his intelligence, wit, kindness, and devoted care for his beloved parents. He was also a loving pet owner to his dog, Willie Parker, and numerous adopted cats. He especially enjoyed playing and listening to music, reading, cooking, and he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams. Even after many years in Savannah, he remained a Yinzer through and through.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Linda Parker. He is survived by his brothers, Stuart Russell Parker (Elizabeth) and Brian D. Parker (Teena), both of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Gregory H. Parker of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his nieces and nephews, Ian, Aidan, Madi, and Alice, great-nephew, Dalton Dowling, and many friends.

No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tim's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) at pancan.org.
