Richard Edward Morley

Richard “Dick” E. Morley, 77, husband of the late Joan H. Morley passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the care of hospice at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Dick was born on September 26, 1940 in Ferndale, Michigan and raised in Ferndale by his late parents, Stewart and Bess Morley.

Dick attended Lincoln High School, and went on to graduate from Lawrence Technological University. He later worked at Ajax Paving for over 20 years retiring as Senior Vice President. Dick's passion for golf and fishing led him to retire in Savannah, Georgia. Dick loved golf, fishing, and cooking but most of all he loved his family and his many friends. His favorite dinner was one that he caught and prepared for the people he loved. His unwavering generosity will not be forgotten.

He is survived by his daughter Melinda and her husband Jack Toner of Jacksonville, Florida; his son Scott and his wife Annessa Morley of Waterford, Michigan; his grandchildren Nicholas Morley and Samantha Morley; and his brother William and his wife Virginia “Ginny” Morley of Laingsburg, Michigan; and his sister Terry and her husband Robert “Ski” Kasmarzyk of Walkersville, Maryland; and many other close friends and relatives from Michigan, Maryland, and Savannah.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406
