Diane Marie Zinn Jurgensen, born July 7, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at her home in Savannah, GA.

Diane dedicated her life to caring for others as a pediatric nurse. She was affiliated with St. Louis University and Cardinal Glennon Hospital, where she found great fulfillment in treating and caring for children in need. Her compassion and dedication to her patients were an important part of her life's work.

Three things held a special place in Diane's heart: her family, her country, and her faith. She was a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, Georgia.

Diane cherished her childhood years in Gainesville, Florida, and later in Fort Lauderdale. She grew up as one of nine beloved brothers and sisters, and the close bond they shared remained throughout their lives. She also treasured the many dear friendships she made throughout her life and the joy those friendships brought her.

Diane attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where she met her husband, Dr. Paul F. Jurgensen, MD. She later earned her nursing degree from Palm Beach College in Lake Worth, Florida, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Armstrong State College.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Paul F. Jurgensen, MD, and her parents, Charles Joseph Zinn and Mildred Joan Cooper Zinn.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Mooney and her husband, Kevin, of Longwood, Florida; her sons, Paul Jurgensen and his wife, Lisa, of Irmo, South Carolina, Stephen Jurgensen of Savannah, Georgia, and Neil Jurgensen of Savannah, Georgia; her grandchildren, Caitlin Mooney of Tampa, Florida; Brendan Mooney and his wife, Marissa, of Lake Mary, Florida; John Mooney and his wife, Cristina, of Chicago, Illinois; Daniel Jurgensen and his wife, Veronica, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Julianne Jurgensen of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Matthew Jurgensen of Aiken, South Carolina; and her great-granddaughter, Lily Jo Mooney of Lake Mary, Florida.

Diane will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her compassionate care for children, her love of country, and the strength of her faith. She leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.
