Tomas John Pantik passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 21.

Tomas was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 27, 2005. He attended Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, and later graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Wheaton, Maryland. He attended Montgomery College in Maryland.

In January, Tomas joined his father and stepmother in Savannah, Georgia, and began making a new life in the city. He enjoyed exploring Savannah on foot, walking through its squares and along the riverfront, discovering the neighborhoods and places that were becoming familiar to him.

He enjoyed spending time on Tybee Island and listening to stories from his stepmother, Cathy, and her mother, Carolyn “Dee Dee” Kelley, about years of family adventures there.

Those closest to him knew a thoughtful young man with a distinctive sense of humor that was often at its best when least expected. He and Cathy shared a particularly close relationship and a similar sense of humor, creating a bond that was uniquely their own.

In his months in Savannah, Tomas enjoyed morning conversations on the porch with his father and lent a hand as Cathy and Martin worked on the renovation of their Savannah home. These ordinary moments — talking on the porch, working around the house, sharing a joke, or simply being together — became some of the memories his family will treasure most.

Tomas was a son, stepson, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Those who loved him are left to grieve the young man they knew, the memories they shared with him, and the future they had imagined for him.

Tomas is survived by his father, Martin Pantik; his stepmother, Cathy Pantik, his mother, Millie (Ens) Pantik; his brother and best friend, Lukas Pantik; his stepbrother, Will Rasch, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members in the United States, Slovakia, and Canada.

He will be remembered for his kind, fun-loving spirit yet quiet nature, his dry humor, his love of sports, music, dogs, and his friends and family. We will remember him in all small, everyday moments that become precious when someone is gone.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 11:00am until 3pm at Aldos Pizza, 752 S. Cooper Street, Memphis, Tennessee.
