Laymon Carl Campbell, Jr., age 72, passed away on August 22, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on July 10, 1954, in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Laymon Carl Campbell, Sr. and Clarice Ellen Gibson Campbell.

Carl had a remarkable ability to fix things. He was the go-to person whenever something was broken, always figuring out a solution. Machinery was never a challenge for him.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Gerald Clarence Campbell.

He is survived by his son, Jody Moore (Girlie); daughters, Angela Chambers, Christan Moore, and Misty Ferbert, several grandchildren and two sisters, Carol Ritchhart (Pete) and Louise Schatke (Riko). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on September 1, 2026 at 10am at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home Chapel located at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr.  Interment following the memorial service at Hillcrest Abbey East.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Savannah Mission Bible Training Center, 1000 E. Victory Dr., Savannah, GA. 31405 in Carl's memory.
