Wendy Taylor Pena, 63, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Candler Hospital. She was born February 21,1963 in London, England to the late Robert and Kathleen Reid Taylor.
Wendy was a family focused, hardworking, and incredibly strong woman. She had two sisters, Karen and Susan, who, along with her parents, she absolutely cherished. The first half of her life was spent living in London England, where she was born. She finished school at 16 and immediately started working. In her early 20s she became an aunt for the first time, and for the rest of her life Danielle, her niece, held such a special place in her heart. At 30, she became a mother. When Conor was born, she made him her world. She worked so hard to give him a good life and eventually was able to uproot and come to Savannah Georgia. Here, she got married, made friends, started work at the Bankruptcy Court, and had her second son Liam. Always she put her boys first, never feeling like she could do enough, despite always going above and beyond. She gave them wonderful childhoods, full of Love, travel, and with them never having to truly worry or struggle. In 2016 she became a grandmother to Alice, whom she doted on and adored, finally having another little girl in her life to spoil. Later in Life she reconnected with her father and two more siblings, Robert and Holly. To Robert she became especially close, absolutely treasuring the beautiful baby girl Margot he shared with his partner Rachael.
Wendy spent her life prioritizing the people she loved more than anything. She worked to support her sons, to visit and stay connected with the family and friends around the world that she loved so much. It's impossible to mention every single person that she touched and that Loved her, but every single one of them will miss her deeply and know that she brought us all such joy, comfort, and Love. She goes home now to rest with her parents and to share her beautiful self with them again.
She is survived by her two sons, Conor and Liam, her granddaughter, Alice, her Siblings: Karen, Susan, Robert, and Holly. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews: Danielle, Jayson, Ella, Alex, and Margot, the fathers of her sons: Barry and Andy, and countless other family members: Ashley, Tony, Mirek, Rachael, Rodger, Jamie-Leigh, Rogerio, Alaina, and so, so many more.
Every one of us will forever be grateful for how she Loved us and touched our lives, as will so many more people whom she spent her incredible life with.
The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be held at a later date in London, England.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Wendy, my dear former colleague from our days together at Arthur Andersen in London. Wendy was truly beautiful inside and out, and her vibrant, big smile always brightened the room. Her incredible drive and fierce determination to provide for her family were nothing short of inspirational. I always loved hearing about her ambitious house renovations over the years and it was a joy to see her again in 2024 when she visited the UK - first which I am truly grateful. She was a remarkably kind lady who has been taken from us far too early. My heartfelt condolences go out to her sons, Conor and Liam, her family, her friends, and her loyal dog, Kev. Wendy, you will never be forgotten by your Andersen crew, and we will carry your memory with us and raise a glass to you each time we meet. In loving memory of a wonderful person. Extremely sad to hear news about beautiful Wendy's passing. Fond memories of working with Wendy at Arthur Andersen many many years ago. Wendy was one of the kindest people I've met in the workplace. I will miss Wendy's posts on Facebook I especially loved the ones with her adored Kevin & of course Conor & Liam. Sending my deepest condolences to Wendy's family. Forever in our hearts Wendy.

My heart and thoughts today are with Wendy's family, especially Conor and Liam who were her world. Having been lucky enough to one of her "across the pond" friends for almost 40 years I, like so many others, am shocked and devastated by her passing. She was an amazingly strong, loving, funny and all-round beautiful person. I will remember her with great affection and I offer my most heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

There are no words to express how sad I feel at passing of our dear Wendy, and cruelly so young. We worked together at Arthur Andersen in London for many years, and I have many fond memories. One of which is when she was pregnant with Conor, and when he kicked in her belly she used to call me over to her desk feel the kick! I was lucky enough to spend some time in Savannah on holiday a few years ago, and I spent a morning with Wendy reminiscing and having a good laugh. My husband commented that we didn't draw breath for 4 hours! Wendy adored her boys and my heart goes out to them and all of her loved ones. Sleep tight Wendy, you fought a very brave battle the last few months, and in Wendy's words "love ya girl" xx
