Rest in Peace, Cadet!

Lee was a great patient man. I'm really going to miss him. I've had meals with the Shuman's for the past 30 years. It won't be the same without him but we will still gather and celebrate in his honor. Love yall!

We all loved Lee. I have so many memories of him lovingly tolerating our antics at the Shuman home. And it did always feel like home there. He and Anne always made us feel like family and in some ways, I thought of him as a “dad away from home”. He was brilliant, kind hearted, caring and my gosh he was funny! I'll never forget the day he walked in his own front door with briefcase in hand, witnessed the familiar chaos and asked if he could go back to work. I had the pleasure of sharing breakfast and conversation with he and Shannon some years ago and took in his way of thinking and seeing the world from my “adult” view rather than those of a 20 year old college student. I so admired and genuinely loved him. Prayers for ease and peace to this family. He was a rock and I'm sure he is unbearably missed.

We have known Lee and his family for more than thirty five years, beginning with his mother, Bertha. Whenever Lee was able to spend time in Savannah, he always gave us a shout out to let us know he was here. Lee was a good friend and neighbor and he will be missed by all his good friends on Piney Point.

We are very sad to learn about the passing of Lee. He was a wonderful part-time neighbor after the death of his mother “Miss Bertha”. He and his wife Anne and family have watched our children grow up. Lee was a very kind caring wonderful neighbor and will be missed by the Broderick family.
