Passed away on November 01, 2017
Eleanor Franklin Anderson passed away on November 1, 2017, All Saints day at the Oaks Nursing Facility. She was a native of Savannah and retired from Allstate insurance after 25 years of service. She was a devoted wife of 63 years and loving mother of four. She will be sorely missed by her family, who she dearly loved and devoted her life to. She loved to cook and sew in her earlier years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to the mountains in their RV and boating on the Wilmington River.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter McRae Franklin and Virginia Barth Franklin, and her husband Charles William Anderson, Sr. and great grandson William Craig Smith, III all of Savannah.
She is survived by Charles William “Bill” Anderson, Jr (Ann), Robert Franklin Anderson (Brenda), Lucy Anderson White (Steve), and Julie Anderson Smith (Craig, Sr.). She had 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the Oaks at Skidaway Island for the wonderful care and kindness they have shown to our Mother over the years.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416, or Guyton United Methodist Church, 401 Church Street, Guyton, GA 31312.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
