Carl Davis, 91, formerly of Pasco, Washington, passed away on June 30, 2026 concluding a long life marked by service, devotion, and craftsmanship. Born in Pasco to Frank and Inga, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann, and his step‑daughter, Dolores. He carried throughout his life the values of discipline, curiosity, and perseverance instilled in him from an early age.

Carl served proudly in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Following his service, he earned his MBA and went on to teach Computer Information Systems at Savannah State College. He was respected for his professionalism, patience, and commitment to educating the next generation, and he approached his work with the same steadiness that defined every chapter of his life.

After retiring from the college, Carl and his wife, Evelyn, spent many fulfilling years traveling across the United States in their travel trailer, embracing adventure and the freedom of the open road. Their marriage of 59 years was marked by devotion and resilience, and Carl cared for her faithfully until her passing in 2017 after her battle with Alzheimer’s.

A man of many talents, Carl pursued a wide range of hobbies with skill and passion. He was an accomplished gunsmith, a craftsman who turned wooden bowls and built tables, a leather worker, and a long‑range shooting enthusiast.
His hands were rarely idle, and his creations reflected both precision and pride.

Carl is survived by his step‑son, Dennis; grandchildren Becky, Beth, and James; great‑grandchildren Jessica, Sydney, and Jake; great‑great‑grandchildren Boston, Cannon, and Ashley; and nieces Lisa and Julie. His family will remember him for his steady  presence, his craftsmanship, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life.

Carl has been cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 28th at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors on Hodgson Memorial Drive in Savannah, Georgia. The family welcomes all who knew him to join in honoring his life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in honor of Carl’s life and service.
