March 09, 1939 - July 02, 2026

Clothilde Heitman Lynn

Clothilde Lynn, 84, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on July 2, 2026, at her daughter’s home.

She was born to the late Cord Lee and Clothilde (Swinford) Heitman, on March 9th,1942 in Savannah, Georgia. At an early age, she attended Cathedral Day School and later graduated from St. Vincents Academy, class of 1960.

Clothilde married Eugene Lynn in April 1964, and they built a life together for 37 years until his passing in 2001. Their home on Madrid Ave will always be remembered as a gathering spot for family and friends. Her children’s earliest friendships were created on this street, cousins played and laughed, PTA moms gathered, and neighbors became family.

Although she was often referred to as “Tee” or “Tee Tee”, her greatest joy was being called Mom and Nanny. At a young age, she helped raise 3 younger brothers after their mother’s passing and later her own two children. She spent her life caring for and giving back to others. She was the heart and soul of her family and will deeply missed.

Survivors: son, Richard Eugene Lynn, daughter, Lori Lynn Riner (Mike), brothers, Wayne Joseph Heitman (Diane) and Frederick Heitman, grandsons Tyler Lee Elenbaas, Austin Elenbaas (Arizona), Avery Elenbaas, Wayne DePasquale, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Christopher Elenbaas, brother, John Cord Heitman, brother-in-law Milt Aldridge, and nephew, Wayne Joseph “Joey” Heitman II.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th from 5-7 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Drive. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 11th at 10 a.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her memory to St. Vincents Academy, 207 E. Liberty Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401.

Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Sharon Lear for the loving care, friendship, and support given to Mom during this last year. You truly made a difference in her life and ours, and that will never be forgotten.
