Celebrating the life of

Carolyn Ann Harrod Fabrikant

Passed away on June 25, 2026

Carolyn Ann Harrod Fabrikant

Carolyn Ann Harrod Fabrikant, born December 7, 1937, in Savannah, Georgia, passed away on June 25, 2026.

Carolyn spent most of her life in Savannah before moving to Bluffton, South Carolina. There, she owned and operated Early Attic & Late Garage, a charming antique store that reflected her love for history, design, and beautiful treasures.

She was an active member of her community, serving on the boards of the Coastal Georgia Archaeology Society and The Fresh Air Home on Tybee Island. She was also a proud member of the Okatie Rotary Club and the Bluffton Garden Club. Carolyn had a deep love for animals and supported the Humane Societies in both Savannah and Bluffton.

Carolyn's personality was larger than life. She loved a grand entrance, never met a stranger, and had a gift for making every gathering more memorable. A devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan, she rarely missed a game. Her passions included antiquing, gardening, decorating, and collecting beautiful things. Carolyn will be remembered fondly for her signature collection of hats, her stately jewelry—always featuring pearls—and her gracious Southern charm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie LaTrelle Syms Harrod and Walker Theodore Harrod, Sr., her siblings, Walker Theodore Harrod, Jr., Betty LaTrelle Harrod Stokes of Dallas, Texas, and Robert Price Harrod of New York.

Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, LaTrelle Fabrikant Ferrelle (Chas) and Renee Fabrikant, both of Savannah. She was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Ramsey Allen (Justin), Charlie Ferrelle (Hadley), and Wyatt Ferrelle (Julia). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

A private remembrance will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fresh Air Home, P.O. Box 14144, Savannah, GA 31416—a cause dear to Carolyn's heart, where generations of the Fabrikant family have served and volunteered to support the health and happiness of underprivileged children.
