Steve B. Kicklighter

Steve Barry Kicklighter, 75, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026.

Born on December 14, 1950, in Claxton, Georgia, Steve was the son of Leona Kicklighter and the late James Deron Kicklighter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlo Mock Kicklighter, and sister-in-law Lynn Kicklighter.

Steve dedicated many years of service as a machinist, working for both the City of Savannah and the City of Pooler. Known for his generous spirit and mechanical talents, he enjoyed repairing small engines for friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of a helping hand. His greatest joys included spending time with his brothers, singing in the church choir, participating in mission trips, and serving through numerous volunteer opportunities.

He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church, where Steve met Carla Kicklighter. Together they shared 30 wonderful years of marriage, united by their deep faith in God, devotion to family, and love for their church community. Steve especially treasured every moment spent with his beloved grandchildren.

Steve will be remembered for his unwavering faith, kind heart, servant’s spirit, and the countless lives he touched through his generosity, friendship, and love. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, at Southside Baptist Church. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Augusta, GA on Sunday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens & Chapel.
