Joseph Michael Iwanski, 60, of Richmond Hill, GA, died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, after a battle with cancer.

Born October 23, 1965, in Oswego, NY. He lived in Richmond Hill the last 31 years. He was also a resident of Vandergrift, PA for 14 years. Joe was a proud 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. 

Joe was preceded in death by his parents F. Lawrence Iwanski and Linda A. Iwanski.

He is survived by his daughter, Shayla Iwanski of Richmond Hill. GA; brother, Larry Iwanski (Fran) of Port Royal, SC; sister, Kate Iwanski of New York, NY; Uncle Edward Iwanski (Marianne); Uncle Leonard Iwanski (Kathleen); nieces, Hannah Welsh, Hali Brown (Chase), Keevyn Reese; and his extended Taylor family, Shannon Taylor Harper (Jason), Joe and Margaret Taylor, Michael Taylor (Holly), Erin Taylor, Meagan Taylor Wright (Derek), Kayla Taylor, Makaili Taylor, Sean Taylor, and Kaitlyn Taylor; cousins, Will Mullen (Susan), Anne Mullen (Greg), and Christine Iwanski Shelleby (Frank); along with many other family members in New York, Indiana and Texas.

Joe’s daughter was his proudest accomplishment and greatest joy. He was deeply loyal to his family and always celebrated the achievements of those he loved with pride and encouragement. A lifelong learner, he found great fulfillment in his years working in property management. We are forever grateful to the many family members, friends, and caregivers who supported him throughout his cancer journey with such care, love, and prayers.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Richmond Hill, with a rosary following at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Father Joseph Smith celebrating. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
