Celebrating the life of
Dr. John Robert (Bobby) Entrekin
Passed away on May 13, 2026
Dr. John Robert (Bobby) Entrekin, or “Dr Bob” to some, quietly passed after a long battle with Parkinson’s on May 13th. He jokingly called it simply MY PARKS. Bobby graduated from the University of Georgia with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. After graduation he went to work as a forensic psychologist for the State of Georgia for 30 years.
Bobby had a wicked sense of humor and loved his family fiercely. He was a protector, a good and loyal friend, and an amazing father, even when he didn’t have to be. He was also a born athlete, playing football for Presbyterian college, on various softball leagues, as well as fishing and boating religiously, with his “occasional” Budweiser.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Edith Entrekin, as well as his brother, Thomas Arthur Entrekin. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Nafis Entrekin (Patti), his two daughters, Jennifer Entrekin Cloer (Andrew) and Christine Elizabeth Apps (Christy), his elder brother Lee Entrekin (Nina), and a grandson, William Fowler Hart (Will), as well as his loving nurse, Anna Gross.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
