Celebrating the life of
Alexandra (Andra) Bowers
April 30, 1947 - April 19, 2026
Alexandra “Andra” Bowers passed away peacefully on Sunday April 19, 2026. She was born April 30, 1947 to George Franklin Bowers and Alice Foster Bowers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Andra lived a life defined by curiosity, independence, and a deep appreciation for the world around her. Though she had no immediate family, she built a life rich in experiences, connections, and quiet impact.
After graduating from University School of Milwaukee, she moved to Virginia before moving south in search of warmth and coastal living. She first made her home in Charleston, South Carolina, and later settled in Savannah, Georgia, where she built a life she truly loved.
Andra spent her career in the financial services industry, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and steady presence. Her work reflected the same integrity and thoughtfulness that guided the rest of her life.
She felt most at home near the water, where she found peace, reflection, and joy. Her love for the ocean extended into her passionate support of The Dolphin Project, a cause close to her heart. Andra believed deeply in compassion—for animals, for nature, and for people—and carried that belief with her throughout her life.
An avid traveler, Andra embraced every opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and gather meaningful experiences. She valued connection in all its forms, often forming lasting impressions through simple conversations and shared moments.
Anyone who knew Andra knew how much she loved her kitties. She had a special place in her heart for older cats, often choosing to adopt them so they could enjoy a safe, loving home in their later years. Her kindness gave many animals comfort, dignity, and a better life.
Those who knew Andra will remember her as thoughtful, adventurous, and quietly strong. Her life is a reminder that meaningful connections and compassion leave a lasting mark.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Coastal Care Partners for their exceptional care, comfort and support.
Andra will be laid to rest in peace next to her mother and father at Singleton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Schley VA.
