Celebrating the life of
Kevin Thomas Jiran
March 24, 1979 - April 13, 2026
Kevin Thomas Jiran, 47, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Kevin was born on March 24, 1979, in Savannah to Michael Joseph Jiran and Frances McKenzie Cargill. He was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a 1997 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School. He later attended Armstrong State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
Kevin worked with Joyner Electric. In his spare time, he loved reading the Bible, learning about conspiracy theories, studying math equations, drawing, and watching his favorite football teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons. Above all, he cherished spending time with his daughter and family. Kevin was known for his compassion and generosity. He was always willing to help others and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was intelligent, deeply spiritual in his own way, and lived as a free spirit. He had been especially looking forward to his daughter’s high school graduation this May.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as his stepfather, Jimmie Cargill.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Frances McKenzie Cargill; his father, Michael Joseph Jiran; his daughter, Kylee Jewel Jiran; his cousin, Stephanie Brannen and her children, Ciara Allen (Chris), Alexis Dossey (Brian), and Jenna Jividen, along with Stephanie’s grandchildren, Jameson and Bowie Allen; his uncle, Thomas McKenzie, his aunt, Debbie Brannen; and many, many friends and extended family members.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until just prior to the service at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel.
