Sydney Brooks Stevens

Sydney B. Stevens, age 71, of Savannah, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at her daughter's home under the care of Hospice Savannah after an extended illness. She was born in Findlay, Ohio on February 8, 1955, to the late F. Brooks Thomas and the late Janice Hopps Thomas. Sydney graduated from Findlay High School in 1973, and she went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame. She worked for thirty plus years in bookkeeping, working with Market South Management for nineteen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed to crochet, she was an avid Notre Dame fan and doing anything to make her kids and grandbabies happy. Sydney was strong willed, very caring, a teacher by heart and a loving mother and grandmother. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Mark Lee Stevens.

Her family includes her children, Kelsey Stevens and Spencer Stevens; three grandchildren, Ava, Jase, and Carter Stevens; two siblings, Brad Thomas and Bruce Thomas and his wife Marla; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
