Carrie Lynette Barone

Carrie "Care Bear" Lynnette Barone, age 48, of Savannah, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Candler Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness. Carrie was born on August 30, 1977, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to William Franz and Madonna Perran Rasper. She was a 1995 graduate of White-Water High School. After graduating high school, she joined the United States Army where she obtained the rank of Sergeant. Carrie later went on to obtain an associate's degree from Milwaukee Career College and worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Ghandi's office. She loved going shopping, especially for shoes, latch hooking, and painting. She had a love for fashion, giving people compliments, and giving her "care bags" to the homeless. Carrie had a heart of gold; known for her sweet and kind spirit.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and her uncles, Wayne Perran and Bobby Perran.
Her family includes her two twin sons, Charles Barone and his wife Lauren and Domenico S. Barone; her mother, Madonna Rasper; her father, William Franz; her three siblings, Melissa Kegel, Nicole DeMotts, and Molly Rose Rasper Price and her husband Nick; and several, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Graveside funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, at Beaufort National Cemetery.

God rest you our sweet niece, Carrie Lynette. What a long courageous battle it was. Although our hearts are broken, we are not able to attend today as a family, but will be there in spirit.
