Bill was the first friend I ever had. We even went to the same kindergarten! Living and growing up in houses that were almost back-to-back, the time we spent together was a joy. Walking the streets of Gordonston, swinging in the Brownie Park, playing soldiers, and exploring places we weren't supposed go, all sealed our friendship. I'm sorry to say we lost touch after I moved away, but I have always cherished those days of infinite summer.

So sorry to hear about Bill's passing. His mother Doris and my mother Beverly were in nursing school together so our families had a relationship for many years. I used to see Bill most often in recent years at the Bayou Cafe when my band played there. I have not seen him in a few years since the Bayou closed down and didn't know he was in poor health. My prayers go out to Becky and the rest of the family.
