Celebrating the life of

Carol Lynn Cobb

Passed away on March 22, 2026

Carol Lynn Cobb

Carol Lynn Cobb, 68, died Sunday March 22, 2026, at Memorial Health University after suffering a massive intracerebral hemorrhage, a type of stroke. She was surrounded by family and friends who gathered for her Walk of Honor, her final journey to the operating room where she donated her organs so that others could live. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Kathryn (Kitty) Denmark Cobb-Elliott and James Edwin Cobb, Sr. and her brother Stephen Andrew Cobb. She is survived by her brother, James (Jimmy) Edwin Cobb, Jr., her sister Diane Cobb Rousakis Biggs (Michael), her nephews, John Paul Rousakis (Erin), Steven James Rousakis, several cousins and many, many friends.

Carol was the best in her field of deep tissue neuromuscular massage therapy. She attended the Sun Coast School of Massage in Tampa, Florida and started her 38-year career of healing and helping others here in Savannah. She eventually started her own business, Therapeutic Massage Center in 1992 working alongside her dear friend and associate, Norma Harvey for over 30 years. Carol continued to educate herself through seminars and training but mostly through her own research. She had an insatiable desire for knowledge to help develop healing solutions for each individual client. She would find therapeutic exercises, vitamins or herbs, treatment, or anything that would help her clients not only just feel better but truly recover.

Her “magical” hands, guided by her brain and her heart were her greatest gift. They just had a way of knowing what was wrong and how to fix it, how to find the source of the pain and work it out. Carol’s legacy wasn’t just about healing; it was about teaching others what to do and how to do it when she couldn’t be there so they could help heal themselves.

When she wasn’t researching and healing others, she loved gardening, music and taking care of her cats. Carol was unique, funny, smart, and had a larger-than-life character. We loved her laugh, her humor and her stories. She will be missed by so many, and our lives will not be the same without her.

We will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 18 from 3 – 5 PM at the home of lifelong friend, Laura Bryant 237 Andrews Road, Savannah, Ga 31410. Please contact Diane Biggs for more details at drousakis1@gmail.com.

Carol’s family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Memorial Health University Neurology Trauma Center and to the team of the LifeLink Foundation for making Carol’s transition as comfortable and dignified as possible for all of us.
