Patricia Hodges Schwarz

Patricia "Pat" Hodges Schwarz, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. The longtime Savannah resident was born at home in Claxton, GA, on September 15, 1938, to the late Roland Bernard Hodges and Blanche Kicklighter Hodges.

Throughout her life, Pat held various jobs, but she was most proud of her role as “Mimi.” She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always offering them love, encouragement, and a listening ear. Her home was a place of warmth and laughter, and the memories she created with her family will be cherished for generations.

In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, George “Freddie” F. Schwarz, Jr.; her sister, Judith H. Sumner; and her brothers, Teddy L. Hodges and Little Bernard Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her cherished dog, Molly.

She is survived by her children, Nanette Wall (Dennis), Judith Lanoue (Rob), George F. Schwarz, III (Sherrie), Sandra Aiken (Cliff), Robert Schwarz (Ellie); her grandchildren, Chris (Dawn), Nicole (Justin), Rick (Lauren), Nathan, Stephen (Katie), Corey (Sam), Jordan, Robyn, Remy, Shelley (Jim), and Matt (Summer). Her great-grandchildren are Charlotte, Everett, Jim, Ryan, and Isabella.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
