Celebrating the life of
Carmen Redman
March 04, 1950 - February 19, 2026
Carmen Redman of Savannah, GA, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 19th, 2026. She did so peacefully with loved ones by her side after experiencing a stroke. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Grace and Delbert Weilacher. Carmen grew up in Columbia City, IN, graduating from C.C.J.H.S. and earning a teaching degree from Ball State University. She began her career in Cincinnati, OH, first as a high school teacher, then building success in the real estate and mortgage industries.
Upon meeting the love of her life, Kit, she made two more stops, back to Columbia City and then down to the Peach State, raising two children along the way, before settling in her adopted balmy hometown of Savannah.
Carmen loved crafting and turned her doll-making hobby into a profitable venture: Carmen Manago Dolls. While she was a talented creator with an artist’s eye, her greatest impact was on the family and close friends with whom she surrounded herself. Carmen’s warmth and interest in people attracted so many to her, and she instilled this same philosophy in others, particularly her children.
Carmen was preceded in death by parents Grace and Delbert, her brother Dean, and her husband of thirty-three years, Kit. She is survived by her sister Tina Hawking (Andy) of Cincinnati, OH, her son, Aaron Redman (Hayley Cox) of Athens, GA, and daughter Monica Redman (Adam Kuehl) of Savannah, GA.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 406 E. Park Avenue, Savannah, GA 31401. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made to the Richard “Kit” Redman Memorial Scholarship.
Dear Monica, Aaron, and All, We are so sorry for your loss. Carmen was a wonderful person in so many ways. She will be missed.
