Celebrating the life of
Alan Bruce Dukes
July 18, 1952 - February 14, 2026
Alan went to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Savannah, Georgia, and lived there his entire life. A Master Plumber by trade, Alan was self-employed and owned several businesses throughout the years, including Alan Dukes Plumbing Company.
Alan found his greatest happiness in talking with God and spending time with his family and friends. He loved cooking for his family, painting, and gardening. An incredible storyteller, he had a special gift for bringing smiles to the faces of those around him.
He was best known and lovingly referred to as “Poppa” by his cherished grandchildren.
Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Loizakes Dukes; his father, Prentice Edward Dukes II; and his first wife, Peggy Boling Dukes.
He is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Pam Dukes; his daughter, Erica Dukes (Austin); and his stepdaughter, Cindy Tyler (Bill). He is also survived by his beloved granddaughters, Victoria Fentress Green (Chris) and Elizabeth Dukes; his step-grandchildren, Daniel Roy, Nathan Roy (Hannah), and Rebecka Roy; and one great-grandchild, Hudson Roy.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Erica, my deepest sympathies for the loss of your father. My heart breaks for you as it did when you lost your mom so many years ago. We all grew up together in high school and I will remember all the good times. I just learned of his passing or I would have been at the service so we could see one another. Keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers. Lenna Wegener Dembski Savannah , Georgia
