Celebrating the life of

Scott Kelly Skolweck

August 17, 1962 - February 04, 2026

Scott Kelly Skolweck

Scott K. Skolweck, 63, of Savannah, passed into the arms of our Lord on February 4, 2026, at his home. He was born August 17, 1962, in Alexandria Bay, New York, son of the late Richard Skolweck and Betty Skolweck Fowler.

Scott spent his early years in Savannah, where he was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and served as an altar boy. He was also a prized competitive swimmer at Windsor Forest High School.

Scott moved to Birchwood, WI, as a teenager, where he played football and basketball at Birchwood High School, graduating in 1981. While in Birchwood, he was also a proud member of the Birchwood Fire Department.

Scott returned to Savannah as a young adult and began his career as a truck driver, working for Marten Transport, Sapp’s Wrecker Service, and eventually Chatham County Public Works. Unfortunately, a debilitating work injury severely impaired his mobility and led to an early retirement.

Scott had a warrior’s spirit, and despite his mobility limitations, he lived a life of service. He had a scooter that gave him independence and enjoyment of the outdoors, and he was affectionately known as “Scooter Scott” in the neighborhoods where he lived. He made friends wherever he went and never met a stranger. Scott loved caring for his lawn, and this led to him helping his neighbors with theirs. He was also a volunteer for the Savannah-Chatham Emergency Management and the Savannah-Chatham Police Department. Despite spending much of his life in Savannah, Scott was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, donning his favorite Packers shirt and raising his Packers flag every game day.

Scott was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Richard (Dick) Skolweck and Betty Fowler, and a sister, Kris Billingsley.

He is survived by his life partner, Michelle Robotka; two sons, Pete Lozano and Mike Lozano (Jodi) of Otisville, NY; five siblings, Rick of Harlem, GA; Mark (Sherry) of Savannah; Kim Bargeron (John) of Riverdale, GA; Robin Hefty of Riverview, FL; and Shannon Page of Gray Court, SC; three grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kahlani, and Jacen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
