Faye Tompkins, a beloved matriarch and women's advocate, passed away at 77 in Savannah, GA, surrounded by her family on January 22, 2026.

She was born in Albany, GA to the late Haskell and Rubye Dudley on June 25, 1948. She is reunited with her son, Bo, who passed away in 2018. Faye is survived by her Husband Billy, her brother Wray, her children: Kristi Emerson & Bren Tompkins. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild who she would spoil whenever possible. Nana Faye was the role she was born to be. She loved her family and cared for them throughout her life. She was well known for being a sweet and caring person to all.

Faye was an accomplished homemaker and crafter, known for her thoughtful crochet work, which she lovingly shared with family and even strangers, often brightening their days. She also helped run and maintain two separate businesses: Home Maiden and Copy Quick of Savannah.

Faye was an advocate for woman’s rights. She was the first president of the Zonta club in Savannah. She regularly met with club members and did outreach to help woman in the community.

To honor her memory, a remembrance service will be held on Thursday, January 29th at 11:00 am at Fox & Weeks on 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive in Savannah, GA. As a breast cancer survivor, Faye's family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to support breast cancer research.
