"Aunt Louise was not actually my aunt, but she treated me like family and was family to me. Her daughter, Donna, and I met in high school and have been close friends ever since. During our high school and early college years, I spent many nights at their home. Aunt Louise and Uncle Doc were like second parents to me. They influenced me in so many ways, especially spiritually - and teaching me how to "roll" houses. Throughout the next 50+ years we remained close and kept in touch. She always had a smile for me and made me feel like she was thrilled to see me. The last time we saw Aunt Louise was in July 2024 when we visited her in Port Orange. She was losing her vision due to macular degeneration, but she still walked around the building every morning. She took us on a tour of the Addison House. She was very proud of her new home. Back in her room, as we talked, her love for the old hymns came up. Lindy started singing 'I'll Fly Away' and she joined in with him, and they continued singing 3 or 4 more hymns. It was the sweetest moment! I didn't want it to end. I didn't have my phone and couldn't video them. I regret that because that video would have been such a treasure for so many. Aunt Louise and Uncle Doc were and always will be such an important part of my life. They contributed so much to who I am today, and I will always be grateful for their love and all the wonderful times we spent together.

Aunt Louise was my Great Aunt. I will always remember her and Uncle Doc and our Thomas Family Reunions and lunches when we were able to get together. She was a great lady and full of love. Always had a kind and loving way. She will surely be missed but Heaven has gotten a new Angel.

I had so many special times with Louise. She was a very important part of our years at Cresthill Baptist Church. We had so much fun on those trips to Wassau Island. It was an all day occasion. We got up early to make a picnic. Louise would fry chicken and I made taco salad. Of course, we had lemon bars! She and I enjoyed those late lights when she was making Donna's wedding dress. I recently called Louise and we had fun laughing and talking about our special memories. Much love to Donna, Bish, Steve, Cindy and families. We love Doc, Louise and family! Hiawatha and Don Henry
