Following his military retirement, Dale made his home in the Savannah, Georgia area, where he met and married the love of his life, Karla. He went on to work for Bomark, later known as SSA Marine, where he devoted well over 20 years of service and built lasting friendships.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karla; his granddaughter, Hope; his father, Doyle Van Winkle; and his brothers, David and Dean Van Winkle.

Dale will be remembered for his loyalty, strength, work ethic, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. His legacy of service and devotion lives on in all who knew and loved him.
