Passed away on December 01, 2017
Carole A. Arpin, 78, of Savannah, Georgia was called home to God on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. surrounded by her family and close friends.
Carole was born September 15, 1939 in Rhode Island to the late Alfred and Evelyn (Tate) Silvia. She attended Warwick Veterans Memorial High School graduating in 1957. She attended Bryant College of Business Administration.
August 16, 1958, she married Donald G. Arpin, Sr. Carole worked in the family business while raising three boys prior to moving to Savannah in 1977. Carole continued working the family business, and she was blessed with twin boys in 1981. Carole decided to be a homemaker and was active in the community and family activities. Carole joined St. Peter of the Apostle Church in 1977. She enjoyed her church family, supported St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, being able to participate in school functions and volunteering. Carole looked forward to making memorable parties and gathers for fundraisers and holidays.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Alfred and Evelyn Silvia, her in-laws Albert and Edna Arpin.
Carole is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Arpin, Sr., her sons Donnie (Melani) of Savannah; Buddy (Bridgette) of Woodbine; Jimmy (Lynda) of Savannah; Timmy (Miranda) of Savannah; and Tommy of Savannah. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brian, Kevin (Kalee), Rachelle, Billy, Autumn Arpin, Dana (Jason) Larson; three great grandchildren and sisters Mary Jane (Richard) Haynes, Judi (John) Scott both of Rhode Island.
Carole was well cared for by the nursing staff at Memorial Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah, and Hospice Savannah, Inc.
Carole was a great wife, mother, friend and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Wilmington Island with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Wilmington Island. A graveside service will be held immediately following the Mass at the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School or a charity of the donors choosing.
